My training program - as it is - has been going on a month now. I started slow - walking around my neighborhood every day after seeing the kids off to school and working up to 1 mile at a brisk pace. I added jogging at the ends of the blocks. I started going to the pool 2 nights a week (which made the kiddoes really happy). I have started weight training again. I went out a bought a new bike and stationary trainer and ride at least 3 times a week. Short aerobic workouts with resistance bands or stability balls. Yoga. All of this effort is in small steps - slow, easy - even though I feel great and want to do more. I make myself stop so I don't get hurt. Short distances. Medium weights. Rebuilding my aerobic base.
I BORKED MY KNEE!!
I don't know HOW I did it. I just did. So - I have not been walking much - in fact just started again today after 5 days off. I did not do my mile. I did a half mile I race-walked one block end. I want to go to the pool tonight. After I post this I am going to go do some yoga or Tai Chi.
It's not like I was ready to run out and do a Sprint - but I feel like I have lost so much momentum. In only 5 days.......
